4th of January, 2018: Shelters and Frisbee

This meeting was all about shelters and how to build them. Each patrol scrambled to complete their makeshift shelters, each one done with a couple tarps and poles.

The competition was fierce, and the judges were stumped for a while, but eventually decided on the Eagle’s makeshift tent, as while the other shelters were not lightning or rain proof, the tent was water proof and low enough to avoid electrical danger.

After the major events of the meeting, the troop split into teams for a rousing game of Ultimate Frisbee. Things almost went south when someone tossed the Frisbee with great enthusiasm, and it ended up on the roof of the Knights! Luckily, one of our scouts managed to shimmy their way up a ladder and retrieved it. Thank goodness for the “physically strong” part of our Scout Oath! ⚜
