Glen Trail Camp Bikepacking

Scouter’s Report

Glen Trail Camp is a hidden gem for the bikepacking scout troop.  It’s about six miles removed from the main road, only accessible by car for physically challenged groups.  Because it isn’t generally accessible by car, the camp site isn’t usually crowded.  The path in is paved and flat.  The campground is large and clean.  There is no potable water available, but you can filter water from the stream.

Cogswell Reservoir is about a mile up from the camp site horizontally.  It’s not quite that far vertically.  It makes a great side hike or side bike, provided your legs are very strong.  There is also a short trail out of the camp site that leads to a nice waterfall.

Another great job by the scouts at the annual Lucky Baldwin District Camporee.
